About Me

Danielle has been a highly sought after music teacher in Upstate New York, Northern Vermont, and Southern California for the last 10 years. She is a native Vermonter where she grew up on a small dairy farm in a loving family with a wonderful older brother and sister. She holds New York close to her heart, having spent her entire education from kindergarten through college there.

Danielle showed a passion for the piano and voice at an early age and began playing the piano at the age of six. At thirteen she began taking bassoon lessons, and at sixteen she began studying the voice. Danielle attended The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY in 2000, studying music education and bassoon. She transferred to Nazareth College in Rochester, NY in 2001 where she was a double major in music therapy and music education, and changed instruments from bassoon to piano and voice. At Nazareth Danielle received a Bachelor of Music in music education and music therapy, with a minor in psychology. In 2005 Danielle moved to Tempe, AZ to complete an internship in music therapy at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center. In 2006 she moved back to Vermont where she continued to give private piano and voice lessons, and became the music director of St. Mary’s Church in Champlain, NY. She also worked with the elderly as Director of Therapeutic Activities at Redstone Villa in St. Albans, VT.

From 2007-2010 Danielle was a full-time music teacher and choral director at Enosburg Falls Elementary, Middle, and High Schools in Enosburg, VT. In Enosburg Danielle taught high school chorus, middle school chorus, 5th grade chorus, adaptive music, African hand drumming, voice lessons, group piano/guitar, and general music. During her time there she was able to greatly increase the quality and size of the program, co-author a $6,000 music technology grant, create an extra-curricular pop chorus, and considerably contributed to the development of the district-wide music curriculum. She also was the District Chorus Manager for 2 years and served as an adjudicator for auditions. In 2010 Danielle moved to Northridge, CA with her husband so he could attend graduate school at California State University where she taught music at Willow Elementary School in Agoura Hills, CA. She is now back in Vermont and looking forward to building her career and family there.

Danielle’s students have been accepted to prestigious music schools, received perfect scores in competitions, and have been admitted to sing in state and regional music festivals. She performs regularly, singing and/or playing the piano or organ at church for weddings, funerals, and Sunday mass.
